SEVEN PRINCIPLES FOR EFFECTIVE NETWORKING
SEVEN PRINCIPLES FOR EFFECTIVE NETWORKING
One thing you must note before I say anything else is: Networking is an industry that has various companies. And In what ever company you are in *new blood* is always the *life blood* of that company.
1) KNOW YOUR COMPANY
You wouldn't want to be confronted with questions from your prospects and you don't have a sufficient answer to give. Know everything about their matrix and compensation plan.
2) APPROACH A LARGE NUMBER OF PERSONS DAILY
To be successful in this industry you need to approach a large number of persons. Daily you need to approach at least 5 to 10 persons, either through social media, personal interaction and so on.
3) APPROACH PROSPECTS AS A PROFESSIONAL
Nobody wants to work with a novice. Even if you are new in the industry project yourself as someone who knows what he is doing. Approach your prospects with a smile on your face.
4) NOT EVERYONE IS INTERESTED
Don't expect everyone to be interested, some even will want to talk you out of it. Your goal shouldn't be to recruit everyone but to recruit like minded persons.
5) REFUSE REJECTION DEPRESSION
Some persons will shut you down, some will insult you but that wasn't why you started networking. Focus on the goal and affirm to yourself that those persons who rejected you will eventually come back and seek your advice financially when the time is right.
6) PROPOSE YOUR OPPORTUNITY FOR MUTUAL BENEFIT
Tell them what they stand to gain, try as much as you can to remove discouragements and negatives from your proposal. Focus only on the positive and present with boldness. Tell them you'll always be there to guide them.
7) WORK WITH A TEAM
Don't leave your upline out of things, seek their advice, meet them and have lunch together once in a while. Even do the same with your downlines. Don't forget you are building a team not just an income stream.
Believe in yourself and follow these principles and you are sure to succeed in this industry.
Please share to as many networkers as you know and help some from discouragement.
